- 1-3rd--Madison Regatta-An Unlimited Hydroplane Race that takes place on the Ohio River with boats racing at speeds over 200mph. Other week long events include Regatta Parade, pageant, basketball competition, fireworks, food court, 10-K walk/run, music on the river, etc.

- 24-25th--Madison Chautauqua-If you plane to visit Madison---this is the time. Southern Indiana's premier outdoor arts and crafts show! More than 270 fine artists and craftsmen from all over the country, with exhibits of painting, sculpture, stained glass, textiles, folk art, and more will be offered for sale. Continual entertainment, a children's activity tent and foodfest will be featured throughout the weekend. Sponsored by the Madison Area Convention Visitors Bureau 812-265-2956.
