12th--"Deal with the Dealer". Deal directly with the Antique Shop and Mall dealers. Get the very best prices, discounts and bargains. 1-3rd--Madison Regatta-An Unlimited Hydroplane Race that takes place on the Ohio River with boats racing at speeds over 200mph. Other week long events include Regatta Parade, pageant, basketball competition, fireworks, food court, 10-K walk/run, music on the river, etc.

3rd -- The Great Event - Held At The Broadway Fountain: Welcome & Homecoming for New Residents and Hanover College Students Annual Event - 2:00PM - 6:00PM - Admission Free.

2nd-3rd--Chelsea Jubilee-Have fun at Chelsea Park (Friday & Saturday, afternoon & evening). Crafts, flea market, kids rides, bingo, bluegrass country music, games, food, pig scramble.

24-25th--Madison Chautauqua-If you plane to visit Madison---this is the time. Southern Indiana's premier outdoor arts and crafts show! More than 270 fine artists and craftsmen from all over the country, with exhibits of painting, sculpture, stained glass, textiles, folk art, and more will be offered for sale. Continual entertainment, a children's activity tent and foodfest will be featured throughout the weekend. Sponsored by the Madison Area Convention Visitors Bureau 812-265-2956. 4th--Christmas Parade-Held the first Saturday in December along main street at 10:30 a.m. This parade is a local favorite. Santa arrives downtown during the parade and stays throughout the holiday season.

3rd - Run Like The Dickens - Annual Event: 1 Mle Dash/Walk at 10:00AM rain or shine Sponsored by Girls Inc.: Start and finish at Jefferson & Main Streets - Pre-registration $20.00 Day of race = $25.00 includes sweatshirt or $5.00 registration only.

3rd - Annual Christmas Parade - 10:30AM: Through Historic Downtown Madison - Santa at Brown Gym after parade.
